Donald Ehrhardt – Principal and Lead Investigator

Donald started his law enforcement career in 1996 and retired in 2022 after 26 years of dedicated and honorable service. Donald served with the Ventura County (CA) Sheriff’s Office as a deputy sheriff and with the Oxnard (CA) Police Department as a police officer. Donald had a robust career, which included assignments in Patrol, Special Enforcement Unit (Gangs/ S.W.A.T.), Neighborhood Policing Team, as well as a Detective and Senior Detective in the Domestic Violence Unit and the Sexual Assault Unit. While in the Domestic Violence Unit, Donald investigated 750+ cases involving violations of restraining orders, domestic battery, domestic assault with a deadly weapon, strangulation, and attempted murder. As a Senior Detective in the Sexual Assault Unit, Donald investigated 350+ cases involving sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse, and child deaths. Donald is a certified child forensic interviewer (CFIT) through the Center for Innovation and Resources, Inc., using the Tom Lyon Ten Step Method. He has conducted or participated in 75+ forensic interviews of children.

Donald attended California Coast University and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
